These photographs were taken in 2009 and are digital images. Apart from Nash Point and Fairy Glenn, they were taken from Dinorwic Quarry, Llanberis. The slate quarry is a very atmospheric place and was one of the largest in the world, occupying 700 acres, employing some 3500 workers and finally closed in 1969. I visited the quarry 2 or 3 times over the year which awakened my interest in the industrial archaeology of the lead mine workings in my locality.
